My Name is Michael Stilwell. I love American History. I read about it and study it whenever I can. I am no PhD or Ivy League professor, just a passionate history nut.
I believe getting where we want to be (personally and as a society) involves knowing where we came from.
I also believe that my generation has a short attention span… Because of this, www.WhatMakesUsAmericans.com is a video/music blog. Once a week (hopefully) I will pick a topic from American History that I find interesting. I will then write a song about it, record it, and put it to a video slideshow.
You will have to deal with spelling and grammatical errors but I will do my best to make sure all information is reputable and historically accurate.
